The school has approximately 460 pupils on roll and provides education for children from three to eleven years of age.  The school has modern classrooms that are all on one level.  There is a Nursery unit, with its own outdoor play area, a large hall, a multimedia area incorporating an up-to-date ICT suite and a library area. Outside there are extensive playgrounds with play equipment for all Key Stages, large playing fields and a well-established environmental area containing a large pond.

Each year group consists of two mixed ability classes. Children are taught by their class teachers for most areas of the curriculum, although arrangements may be made for certain specialist teaching by other members of staff at appropriate times. In Key Stage 1 and 2 children may be set by ability for English and Maths.
